You can reach almost all the best spots on the islands in the southern archipelago by bike. Our bikes are easy to use and are available for both adults and children. We can also provide child seats and carriers for the youngest in the family.
Although we do welcome customers that only wish to rent for the day you should know that it is a bit of a walk from the ferry to Aroniagården. Most of our rental customers are staying for several days.
Please don't hesitate to ask us if you're curious about the islands and would like suggestion on where to go.
Normal tear and wear is included in the rental fee. Let us know if you run a flat tyre or need some adjustments!

It is usually not a problem to extend the rental period, but call us before the time runs out!
Deductible
1400 SEK
If an accident occurs, we cover repair costs that exceed 1400 SEK. Note - in case of theft of an unlocked bike, the deductible is 8000 SEK.

It is usually okay to drop in unannounced during spring and autumn. The summer time is the most busy time of the year and as most of our customers rent bikes for several days you could be out of luck. Please make a reservation well in advance if you visit us during July.
Winter rentals always require a reservation.
Yes! It is included in your ticket. But please be prepared that the deckhand may refuse to let the bike onboard if the ferry is crowded. This is usually just a problem on the busiest departures during high season. If that happens: get an ice cream, enjoy the sunshine and wait for the next ferry.
We don't impose any restrictions on where you go with the bike as long as we get it back in one piece at the end of the rental period.
Let us know what happened so that we can fix it. If the problem cannot be fixed while you wait you'll get a replacement bike for the remainder of the rental period.
Please note that normal tear and wear is included in the rental fee. Minor scratches is also considered normal (you are supposed to use the bike, not put it up for display).
It does not. You can rent a bike with spike tires in January if you feel inclined to but we do need a reservation a few days before you need it.
You need to be 18 years or have permission from a guardian to rent a bike from us.
Also note that you're using the bikes at your own risk. We do maintenance on them after each rental and would never let a bike out on the road if we suspect there is something wrong with it but the responsibility is yours. This is important. Aroniagården cannot be held responsible for anything whatsoever that happens during the rental period.
You can pay by card (all major cards) or "Swish" (swedish micro transactions).
We don't accept cash.
Yes, for adults and teenagers. We do have helmets in sizes M and L.
Parents with children in need of smaller helmets need to bring their own. This policy was put in place as we cannot have children account for every dropped helmet when they were busy playing pirates all over the island. We expect children to be children!
Helmets are designed to absorb one impact only. After that it is supposed to be disposed of. It may look alright but it will not protect your head if there is a crack in the shock distributing material inside the helm.
